TIX FOR TAPS POLICY
Tix For TAPS is a TAPS department program applicable to declared undergraduate Majors and Minors. The program’s goal is to enhance students’ exposure to the quality and diversity of professional theater, dance, and performance art.
This year’s Tix For TAPS funding is provided by Stanford Arts.
THE POLICY
- Declared TAPS students may use the Tix for TAPS reimbursement program to attend any production deemed integral to their degree work by TAPS faculty.
- Reimbursements are made for one ticket and transportation costs, totally up to $100.
- This reimbursement benefit can be used by each student three times per quarter (excluding summer).
- Students must first purchase the ticket themselves, then seek reimbursement.
THE PROCESS
- In order to receive reimbursement, students must first fill out the Tix for TAPS form below. This will trigger an automated email to their selected faculty sponsor requesting approval.
- Once written faculty approval has been obtained, TAPS will request of the student:
- An electronic copy of the ticket and/or transportation receipt(s), sent to tapsinformation@stanford.edu within 2 weeks following the performance AND
- A photo of the production program to the same email above
- If funds become low during the year, TAPS will inform students via email. Thereafter, students will be instructed to email tapsinformation@stanford.edu prior to purchasing tickets in order to verify reimbursements are still possible. Reimbursements will be made on a “first-come, first-served” basis until funds run out.
