CAPSTONE AUDITIONS | “106”
FRI JAN 27 AT 6PM-10PM & SUN JAN 29 AT 6PM-10PM
MEMAUD 129 | OPEN TO STANFORD STUDENTS
Sam Petersen’s TAPS Capstone 106 will be an hour-long devised show structured in six parts, where each part is a ten-minute performance based on one of six assignments from CS106A. The final show will be an accumulation of pieces based on sand, biasbars, crypto, quilt, ghost, and babynames. Each piece will interrogate an element of the tech industry, using the start of Stanford’s pipeline into it — CS106A — as our entry point. Themes explored will include the commodification of time, misconceptions and truths about bias in tech, communication and language in the tech world, problem-solving and creativity, the people who don’t take 106A, and the future of tech.
Performance Dates/Times: May 11, 12, 13 @ 7:30pm in the Nitery
Role Descriptions: All actors will also be content creators/devisers for the show. We are also seeking traditional design roles.
