DANCE IS IN OUR NATURE is a movement-based research LAB designed to embody radical presence, develop self-listening and cultivate the body’s resistance. The LAB explores environmental motifs on the body as a means of strengthening our skills as dancers, our shared community, Earth and the practice of dance performance as Sacred Activism.
The workshops will offer participants an experience of how their bodies directly influence their art, their lives and their artistic expression. We will evaluate what aspects of ourselves we use in our creative processes and what aspects actually require development to encourage ourselves to go beyond patterns of comfort and habit, designs for expanding skills of performance, listening and relationship
The LAB is open to dancers and actors who enjoy being physical and taking creative risks. Experience is welcome, but not necessary.
